8. Further Information on Data Protection
8.1. Automatic Storage of Access Data

Each time you access the ZANATTA.de websites, the access data for the process is automatically stored in a log file. This includes general information such as the page from which the file was requested, the name of the retrieved file, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, the protocol used, and the browser's own descriptions, as well as, if applicable, the operating system.

This general information is anonymized, meaning it is not stored together with any personal data you may have with ZANATTA, nor is it merged with it in any other way. It is only evaluated for statistical purposes and used to improve the content and functionality of the website.

This data will not be passed on to third parties for other non-commercial or commercial purposes. Access data is stored in the log file for a maximum of 4 weeks.

8.2. Cookies

This website also uses so-called cookies. A cookie is a text file with an identification number that is transmitted to the user's computer along with the other, actually requested data when you use the website and is stored there. The file is kept there for later access and serves to authenticate the user. Since cookies are only simple files and not executable programs, they pose no danger to the computer. Cookies do not contain directly personal data, so the protection of your privacy is guaranteed. Depending on the settings you choose in your internet browser, it will automatically accept cookies. However, this setting can be changed, and the storage of cookies can be deactivated or set so that you are notified as soon as a cookie is placed. If cookie usage is deactivated, some functions of the website may not be available or may only be available to a limited extent.

8.3. Mailings (postal and email)

If you have subscribed to ZANATTA MEDIA's mailings, we process the personal data you have provided to inform you about news. You consent to regular newsletters being sent by email or postal mailings to the contact details provided (postal address, email address). For email newsletters, it is first verified that you are the owner of the email address provided or that the owner agrees to receive the newsletter. ZANATTA uses a data processor to manage address data and send newsletters. The service provider only has access to the personal information required to fulfill the order. The address data is not used by the service provider or by ZANATTA itself for other purposes. You can object to this processing at any time informally.

8.4. Use of the Google Analytics analysis tool

ZANATTA uses the Google Analytics service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This service enables an analysis of the use of this website and uses cookies for this purpose. For this purpose, the information generated by the cookie, such as your anonymized IP address, is transmitted on behalf of ZANATTA to a Google LLC server in the USA, stored there, and evaluated. This is because Google Analytics has been extended on this website with the code "gat._anonymizeIp();". This ensures anonymized collection of IP addresses. The anonymization of your IP address usually takes place by Google LLC shortening your IP address within the European Union or in other contracting states of the European Economic Area (EEA). In exceptional cases, your IP address will be transmitted to a Google LLC server in the USA and anonymized there. Your IP address transmitted in this process will not be merged with other data from Google LLC. As part of the Google Analytics advertising function, remarketing and reports on demographic characteristics and interests are used. The purpose of these procedures is to align advertising measures more closely with the interests of the respective users with the help of information about user behavior. As part of remarketing, personalized advertising measures can be displayed on other websites based on your surfing behavior on the ZANATTA website. The advertising material may contain products that you have previously viewed on the ZANATTA website. If you have agreed that your web and app browsing history will be linked by Google to your Google account and information from your Google account will be used to personalize ads, Google will use this data for cross-device remarketing. You can object to the collection of your data by Google Analytics at any time. The following options are available to you:

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can prevent the use of cookies by setting your browser accordingly; in this case, however, not all functions of the website may be usable. The settings must be made separately for each browser used.

You can also prevent Google LLC from collecting and processing this data by downloading and installing the browser add-on available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Alternatively, or within browsers on mobile devices, this can be done by clicking on the following link: Deactivate Google Analytics. This will place an opt-out cookie on the user's device for ZANATTA websites, effective for the currently used browser. If the cookies in this browser are deleted, this link must be clicked again.

Further information on terms of use and data protection can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

8.5. Use of Google Ads

As an AdWords customer, we use Google Conversion Tracking. This is an analysis service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). If you reach our website via a Google ad, Google AdWords places a cookie on your device ("Conversion Cookie"). This cookie expires after 30 days. It is not used for personal identification. If the cookie has not yet expired when you visit certain pages on our site, we and Google can recognize that someone clicked on the ad and was redirected to our page. Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across AdWords customer websites. The information obtained through the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that could personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse the setting of the cookie required for this – for example, by adjusting your browser settings to generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "googleadservices.com."

Further information on data protection at Google can be found at https://www.google.com/policies/?hl=de. Users can also deactivate or object to Google ads in whole or in part at http://www.google.com/settings/ads (perform opt-out).

8.6. Use of Google Remarketing for interest-based advertising

Using Google's remarketing technology, users who have already visited ZANATTA's websites are re-targeted with interest-based advertising on the pages of the Google Partner Network. With the help of cookies, interests can be analyzed during the website visit and then used for relevant product advertising. If users have agreed that their web and app browsing history will be linked by Google to their Google account and information from ZANATTA's Google account will be used to personalize ads they see on the web, Google uses data from these logged-in users together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. To support this function, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated IDs of these users. This personal data from Google is temporarily linked with ZANATTA's Google Analytics data to form audiences.

More information and options for deactivating these ads can be found at http://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/anonymous?hl=de (link "Ad settings", then "Deactivation").

8.7. Use of Facebook Custom Audiences

ZANATTA uses the "Custom Audiences" remarketing function of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). This function serves to present interest-based advertisements ("Facebook Ads") to users of this website within the framework of visiting the social network Facebook. For this purpose, the Facebook remarketing tag has been implemented on this website. Via this tag, a direct connection to the Facebook servers is established when visiting the website. This transmits to the Facebook server that you have visited this website, and Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account.

Further information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Facebook's data protection notices at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. Alternatively, you can deactivate the "Custom Audiences" remarketing function at https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads#_=_ . You must be logged in to Facebook for this.

Hotjar also uses services from third-party companies such as Google Analytics to provide its services. These third-party companies may store information that your browser sends during your website visit, such as cookies or IP requests. For more information on how Google Analytics and other companies store and use data, please refer to their respective privacy policies. If you continue to use this website, you consent to the above-mentioned processing of the data there by Hotjar and its third-party providers within the scope of their privacy policies. The cookies that Hotjar uses have different "lifespans"; some remain for up to 365 days, some remain valid only during the current visit.
